Reo Royale door handle retainer clips

There are still a few details to take care of but one that's really annoying is that a door handle retainer clip or spring, a flat cloth peg looking spring, is broken and the door handle is loose. Hi Jean,

Welcome to the forum. We would love to see some pictures of your dad's car. Could you post a picture of the door handle and clip? The Royale shared some hardware with other manufacturers and it is possible that match might be found.

I have Dietrich hardware on my car which is different than that. I tried doing the internet search but did not turn up anything similar.

You should try posting on the aaca forum as I'm sure this is shared with other cars and somebody has a replacement that is close.

It looks like it shouldn't be too complicated to make one, at a spring manufacturing store. Unfortunately, I don't have a sample.
