Fuel Line Attachment to Fuel Pump

My existing 5/16 brass fuel line screws into the King Steely sending unit and runs along the the frame to the fuel pump . My carb was not installed and the fuel line was bent back from the fuel pump My question is was there no design for motor vibration taken into account ?Is there no rubber hose installed any where or is it left to the fuel line to pick up the vibration ? According to Joe A on his original 1931 Royale Sedan it is a straight connection . What have the other Royale owners done . I am installing a fuel filter along the line also . A picture would help .
