Does anyone know what the available rear end ratios on the Royale were? Has anyone ever done a high speed gear project or is it unnecessary?

Thanks Tim.
Anybody remember the procedure for figuring out the rear end ratio by turning the drive shaft and counting the wheel revolutions?

This was Tim's response: Al,
According to the original Royale manual that I have. "Rear Axle: Semi-floating, Spiral bevel gear type. Ratio; Sedan and Victoria, 4.07 to 1, Coupe and special, 3.77 to 1. Pinion straddle mounted between double and single row ball bearings, shim adjusted. Differential bearings, adjustable tapered roller. Two tapered roller bearings at outer end of each axle shaft."
