Hood Supports

A discussion on the correct hood supports.   Text from John:Since pieces and parts of the hood supports I have mentioned are on all Royales I have ever seen, both restored and originals, I am fairly confident that the two I described are original to the car. Of course over the years, during repaints and other mishaps they do not all survive as installed by the factory. I just re inventoried the hood supports on all three of my restored Royales:If a device was used, it always was installed with the spring loaded bracket on the front side near the radiator and the small bracket with the rubber bumper installed on the rear of the hood toward the cowl. Thanks A J for posting this for me. What I had intended was to have two columns, one for the spring loaded bracket and another for the small bracket with the rubber bumper. 'X' means I have it 'O' means it is missing. I hope this clears things up.

I am pretty sure now, confirmed with discussions from many Royale owners, that from the factory, the spring loaded bracket was only on the drivers side near the radiator shell and the small bracket with the rubber bumper was on both the drivers side and passenger side near the cowl.
