I have these very useful hood props on my car but I'm thinking they are not original as they are machined aluminum. If they are not correct what holds the hood up on a Royale?

I'll leave these on because they are very functional but if I ever do a full on restoration they will go.

I got one of my main questions answered . I could never understand how the hood stayed open . Compared with earlier models of Reo's . Where they had a bracket .

I think what I'm going to do is paint them so they don't stand out. They are very useful I agree. Do the hoods fold all the way over? I didn't try but I guess that might not be great for the paint

I saw at Lansing on another Reo . Someone was using a Model A after market holder that you fold out when you open the hood to support the hood . Another opinion to save the hood .
