I'm not spending 3 or 4k either. Hopefully he can come up with something more reasonable.
I believe I spent around 300.00 for the set back around 2001. However, they were rough and I probably did spend another 1k on work to make the nice.
Attached are Victor's pictures of your covers.

I have posted an inquiry on the CCCA board and will call the guy again that was making them for the Indiana region of the CCCA to see if there is an update.

I talked to the gentleman (Walter) in charge of the Indiana region CCCA project for sidemount covers. He has had some health issues but says they are now moving forward with the project again. The downside is that they have not found a vendor to spin the mounts. He was pretty sure they would be making them again but his estimate was 1 year. Victor, he is taking names so I think you should give him a call. I'm going with plan B and having them fabricated from scratch. I do not know the cost but was clear I wasn't planning on spending 3k for set. When mine our done I will have a firm price and if anyone else needs a set made up I can get them done.
A.J.: I have been off the forum or a while. Glad you are making progress with the spare tire covers. Please keep us posted on how yours come out, as I am not ready to spend the $3-$4,000 either.

Victor, the sidemount cover fabrication is on hold while I search for snap rings. I discovered those beautiful chrome wheels on my car are 17 inch and not 18. John is providing me with 6 wheels but I need to find snap rings. Once I find a single snap ring I'll start on the sidemounts with that.
I think the Indy guys may end up coming through for you as you are in no hurry. At the rate I'm going they may end up saving me too.

There was an advertisement on the AACA forum yesterday for a set of side covers (not the tread covers) that measured 17.75" across inside. I was very hopeful until John measured his again and reported inside diameter is 19 inches. You can see that in the picture posted previously in this thread. Close examination of the pictures in this forum shows that the trim ring is visible which I guess accounts for the extra inch.
A.J.:I need a couple of snap rings myself, in case you come accross more of them.
Just thinking to myself... most surely, REO was not the only manufacturer using 18" wheels. Perhaps some other brands offered similar accesories. I have seen similar sidemount treatments on 1930-31 Packards, which appear the same with the chrome tread cover and the painted side cover... but of course I am not sure if tire size would be the same or not.

Here is the contact info for the Indy guys. They tooling is gone so they are not making them last I was in contact.

An ad for the Lyon cover.

Dave,
I think that in 1931 it would have been steel that was chromed. I believe the Duesenberg covers are that way but will try to ask this week.

I sent out an email looking to see if anyone was interested in a reproduction of the Lyons emblem that attaches to the sidemount covers. If I missed you and you are interested please email or PM me.

Great pic, A.J.! I hadn't seen it... neither that type of fully painted tire cover and let alone in such a heavy contrast combo. I certainly prefer (or at least I am used to it) the regular painted front covers with chrome thread covers, like on the Victoria.

Carl,
There is nothing in your quote but my original post, but I'm assuming you might be interested in the emblems? I probably need to check in to see if the project has gotten anywhere. Will report back.

He is still working on it but going is slow. He's meeting with a vendor at Hershey to see about production. I'll send out the email and get a count of what people want when he takes the orders.

Hi Al,
I’m interested in the logo
Dave S,
I’m interested in the sidemount covers too.
Thank you both!
Dave Marshall

So here we are many years later and no covers. @DaveM is trying to start a project for them. Message him directly.
Here’s their proposal;
That's certainly something we could fabricate for you. It would be a combination of english wheel, planishing hammer and pullmax work. We would likely have to make custom pullmax dies for the crown of the tread cap and to form the rolled edges on each piece.
As a rough estimate I expect it would take 50-70 hours to make the first set, that includes making the tooling, that is ~ $6000- $8400
After that each sucessive set would take a little less as we get the process dialed in. That would be for a completed set in bare steel, to be plated or painted at customer discretion, which you could do at your own location.
