Engine head torque amount.
Can anyone tell me how many foot pounds one should torque the 28 headbolts on a Royale engine to? Carleidsness @gmail.com

Car is looking for some factory documentation. Ed Minnie suggested 65lbs starting in the middle workiing your way to the outside.

There's standard charts for torquing bolts, based on size.
If you don't have OEM specs, Google is your friend.
Err on the low side of the figure.

Shawn, these are the bolts: Studs, Steel, Grade 8, Zinc Plated, 7/16 in.-14, 7/16 in.-20 Threads, 3.625 in. Length.
Without sounding like too much of an idiot, what does the search look like?

I just googled "SAE bolt torque chart".
Looks like Ed was pretty good at 65 pounds.
