Items To Be Discusses by Forum Members at Lansing Meet

Sometime during the meet when we can muster up all Royale owners and others interested in Royales we need to discuss the following items:1. Help from J L , to register for the REO Royale.Freeforum.Com and to learn how it works. Actually if John G can do it, anyone can!2. Show and tell of items now available to Royale Forum members: ---windshield frames. You will be able to see the finished product in John G. Royale Convertible and see an unfinished frame for sedans, coupes, and victorias. Available from NC Industries, 301S. Commerce Avenue, Sayre, PA 18840 (570) 888-6216 Ask for Kevin and tell him you are with the Reo Royale group. You need to order your windshield directly from them. The unplated windshield frame cost me $650 plus postage. Also available from them is the 'T' rubber that goes in the groove around the frame to keep the water out. ---prototypes of the rubber mats for (1) the area around the clutch/brake pedals and (2) the area around the shifter/emergency brake lever. I don't know how much these will cost but I am hoping that they won't cost more than $60-75 each. Tell me how many pairs of these you want since the more pairs are ordered the cheaper the cost. There has been some discussion that these mats may also fit some years of Flying Clouds and we hope to find that out at the meet. ---brake and clutch pedal pads. These can be purchased from any Mack Truck dealer. They are part number 25195158 and cost about $10 each. They look just like the originals. Maybe these too will fit Flying Clouds and other REOs.3. We will also discuss other Reo Royale Forum projects in the works: ---water distribution tubes (made according to the Jack Perkis drawing) ---reproduction of door handles and window cranks. There are several options as several possible sources have emerged such as Pier from Argentina, a fellow from Australia, Greg Coleman from Milledgeville, Illinois, and Mike Butters from Canada. Maybe there are other sources. We need to determine the quality, cost and material being used so that we can make a choice of 'vendor' and get this started. ---reproduction of knobs (like light switch, choke, spark) and the window crank knob. Keith Lee who is also doing the rubber mats for us has experience in making the knobs and will probably be doing those for us . Please let me know how many sets of the four dash knobs any of you want as that will affect the cost.4. Show and tell of the 'distributor and carb fixes'.
